Time to Replace Your Intel Mac

MacOS 27 Golden Gate was released in September. Since the operating system isn’t compatible with Intel-based Mac models—including multiple MacBook Pro models, one iMac model, and the 2019 Mac Pro—all Intel Macs are officially obsolete. If your office relies on any Intel Macs, it’s past time to upgrade your equipment.

Not sure if your Mac runs on Intel? Here’s a how-to guide we wrote to help you check your Mac’s system information in a few short clicks. If it turns out your Mac is one of the models losing support this year, contact Favarger Consulting. We’ll make sure your office has a smooth transition to technology that meets your company’s budget and goals.

Keep Your Passwords Organized and Secure

With the ongoing memory shortage, it’s more important than ever to replace your outdated equipment. If you wait till the last minute to purchase the tech you need, an unexpected delay or price raise could leave you over budget, behind schedule, and out of luck.

We recommend upgrading your old machines as soon as possible—If you’re considering making any year-end purchases, please get in touch with us immediately. The process to spec, order, and ultimately have purchases hit your books can sometimes take over two weeks. You may want to schedule installations of new gear during the week between Christmas and New Year’s to avoid unnecessary interruptions for your team. Even in this case, we still recommend ordering your new equipment as soon as possible.  Get your orders in no later than the first week of December to ensure your tech is ready for installation later that month.
