Watch out for QR Code Phishing!

QR code phishing, often called “quishing,” is when cybercriminals use QR codes to redirect users to harmful websites or force them to download malicious content. Attackers may use quishing to steal your passwords, financial data, or other personal information.

Here are three quick tips to protect yourself from quishing. When you’re on a site accessed through a QR code:

  1. Don’t enter any sensitive information.

  2. Don’t make any payments.

  3. Don’t download anything from the site itself.
