New Subscription for Final Cut, Pixelmator, and More
Last month, Apple announced certain premium features for apps like Final Cut, Pixelmator, and Keynote will now require an Apple Creator Studio subscription. Some apps, including Pixelmator Pro and Final Cut Pro, will still be available via one-time purchase, but certain new premium features will be exclusive to paid subscribers.
Satisfied with your apps as is? Don’t sweat it. As far as we can tell, Apple will be creating new features specifically for Apple Creator Studio subscribers, not locking the tools you already use behind a new paywall. Make sure to read up on Apple Creator Studio’s features before you buy the subscription. If you don’t see the tools helping your team, it’s probably best to stick with the base version of these apps and save yourself the monthly fee.
Time to Update Your iPhone or iPad
When was the last time you updated your operating system? If your iPhone or iPad is running iOS or iPadOS 26.1 or earlier, it’s vital that you update as soon as possible. Late last year, Apple found a flaw in Safari that hackers were exploiting in order to attack users' devices. Apple fixed the issue with security improvements in iOS and iPadOS 26.2, but anyone who hasn’t updated since the release is still at risk.
Without this update, just visiting a malicious site could allow attackers to run harmful code on your device. So don’t wait—update your operating system as soon as possible to keep your data secure.
